"Good customer service overall"
I had a small issue with my order, so I emailed them about it. They replied quickly and got it sorted without a lot of back and forth. It wasn’t perfect, but overall I was happy with the service.

"Got the missing piece, but it took a while"
I was missing a piece from one of my games, so I filled out their replacement parts form. The form itself was straightforward and didn’t take long. Support basically replied with something like, “We’ve got your request and will send it out when we can,” which was fine, but after that I didn’t hear much for a while. The piece did eventually show up in the mail and it was the right one, so I’m glad it worked out. Overall, not a bad experience, just slower than I expected. I’d use the service again if I had to, but a little more communication along the way would’ve been nice

"Good ideas, but it feels like the goalposts keep moving"
There are definitely some nice ideas here, but the layouts feel cluttered to me. Just when I think I’ve figured out where everything is or how it’s supposed to work, it feels like the goalposts move again and I’m back to sorting through a messy screen. It’s not terrible, but it could really use a cleaner, more consistent setup.

I tried these tokens and they just felt kind of cheap. They worked fine but the quality was not really what I expected and I probably would not buy them again.

"Not as varied as they made it sound"
I thought this was going to have a lot more variety based on the way it was described, but every game started feeling kind of the same after just a couple plays. The wording made it seem like there’d be more to keep things interesting, so that was disappointing.

I really do enjoy the games I’ve bought from Stonemaier, but man, getting everything set up and then packed away again is more work than I expected. There are so many pieces, cards, trays, and tiny bits to sort through before you can even start playing. And after a long game night, the last thing I want to do is spend even more time putting everything back exactly right. The games are good, but the extra work around setup and teardown takes some of the fun out of it for me. Overall, I’d give it 3 stars.

"Good additions, but not all cheap"
The expansions do add a lot to the games and make them more fun to come back to. That said, a few of them feel a little expensive for what you get, so I’d probably pick and choose instead of grabbing them all at once.

The site looks nice, and the games do seem like they’d be fun!!! But as a new player, I definitely felt a bit lost at the start... There are a lot of rules and choices to figure out, and it takes some time to really understand what’s going on!! It’s not bad at all, just maybe not the easiest place for total beginners!!!

I had a good experience using stonemaiergames.com. The site was easy to move around, the game pages loaded without any issues, and I didn’t have to dig around much to find the info I wanted. Checkout was mostly smooth too, which is always a relief... The only thing I noticed was that a few menus felt a bit crowded on my phone, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, solid experience

"I really wanted to like these games, but…"
I really wanted to like these games, but the balance feels kind of questionable. In every game we played, one or two players would get a strong start, and then the rest of us were basically stuck watching them run away with it. We tried a few different times with different groups, so I don’t think it was just bad luck. It almost feels like there’s one strategy that’s secretly way better than the others, but you don’t realize it until halfway through when it’s already too late. Disappointing.

"Pretty solid games, honestly"
I’ve picked up a couple games from here now, and the replay value has been surprisingly good. You can make different choices each time, so it doesn’t get old right away. Shipping was fine too. I mean, was everything perfect? No. But who cares, I still had a really good time overall

"Fun games, but the chat needs work"
I do actually like some of the games on here, but my last experience with the player chat was disappointing. I asked a basic rules question and a few people talked to me like I should’ve already known everything. I get that the site can’t control every single player, but whoever runs this should probably do a better job keeping the community from feeling so harsh. I was just hoping for a more relaxed, welcoming vibe.

Most of my order showed up just fine, but one item was wrong. I’m not sure if it was just a packing mistake or if they were trying to substitute something without saying anything, but it was a little annoying. The rest of the items were good though, so overall it wasn’t a total disaster.

What I really appreciate is that the games feel like the theme actually matters. It’s not just random artwork slapped onto cards to make things look nice, the mechanics and the overall feel connect really well. It makes the experience more engaging and shows a lot of thoughtful design. If you care about games feeling immersive and well put together, this is a strong point

"Great for Solo Game Nights"
I play a lot of board games solo, stonemaier has been a really reliable choice for that. The automa rules are easy enough to follow and don’t feel like they were just tacked on at the end, which is always a relief. And shipping was totally fine too. What more can you really ask for when you want a good game night and nobody else is around?

I’ve bought a few games from Stonemaier, though not their whole catalog or anything, and the quality has been really good every time. The components feel nice, the printing is easy to read, and the boards don’t feel flimsy or cheap. Shipping was fine from what I remember too. Overall, it just feels like they put care into how the game looks and feels on the table.

"Really welcoming community"
I’ve been impressed with the Stonemaier community. People are active, friendly, and when someone asks a question, it usually gets answered quickly. It feels like the folks behind it actually pay attention to what players are saying, which is refreshing. Anyway, sudden rant: I wish more game communities were like this instead of feeling like a sales funnel. Here, it’s just a nice mix of game chat, updates, and helpful fans without getting pushy.
